The practice was appointed by Yorkshire Forward to organise and facilitate a workshop event concerning the future development of the Porter Brook site in Sheffield. The Porter Brook site is owned by Yorkshire Forward and considered critical in advancing the next phase of the city’s hugely successful Cultural Industries Quarter.

The purpose of the workshop was to bring key stakeholders together, including Creative Sheffield, the City Development Company, and Sheffield City Council to discuss the issues and aspirations surrounding development of the site.

A hands-on session was organised that helped defined the essence of a brief for the site’s development concluded with an agenda for action, which included the way that each of the outstanding issues were to be addressed, including flooding, re-housing of existing tenants, securing vacant possesion and market testing.
