This strategy for regenerating Gants Hill town centre on behalf of developers HDG Ltd establishes how a phased programme of individual building projects and public realm improvements would usher in revitalisation of the central area in a co-ordinated way.

The strategy puts forward proposals to redevelop the former Odeon cinema site for a high density mixed residential and retail development that makes the most of the site’s close proximity to the underground station and explains how the site can serve as a catalyst for wider regeneration, involving the development of complementary sites and public realm improvements.

The study helped secure planning permission and construction of the site is currently underway.
