Proposals have been advanced for a site in County Meath, north of Dublin, to form a major new sustainable building demonstration projects, provisionally called ‘HomeX’. This unique proposition seeks to create a campus of Ireland-wide and international importance where research and development can be carried out on forward-thinking construction methods, living requirements and products.

A visitor attraction will be created where the main focus is to educate the public on the range of products available to construct, decorate and landscape the modern home. HomeX will bring all aspects of house building technologies, product design and research, sustainable environment technologies and related education to one location. Products will be researched, designed, exhibited, promoted, manufactured, tested and sold on the campus.

Matrix Partnership is leading a multi-disciplinary team working on behalf of the developer to take this ambitious proposal forward, involving substantial technical work in consultation with Meath County Council.
