Transform South Yorkshire (TSY) is one of the nine housing market renewal pathfinders established by the Government to address endemic weaknesses and failure in housing markets with acute problems. TSY recognises the need for inspirational design and high standards of construction to provide an impetus for people to move into the pathfinder area.

To ensure the effective deployment of funds, TSY together with CABE and the House Builders Federation commissioned the practice to work as part of a team to prepare a robust business plan, entitled ‘Delivering Design Quality’, which sets out a range of design-related activities for meeting its objectives and assigns appropriate levels of funding. The Plan includes a series of costed delivery proposals with clear roles and responsibilities and its implementation is currently being rolled out across the sub-region.
