Linking theory and practice helps ensure that we remain at the cutting edge. This is achieved through:

- co-authorship of several internationally acclaimed best practice publications;

- work on best practice urban design research, guidance and Government policy development initiatives and publications (eg. related to masterplanning, design coding, housing design);

- running urban design training programmes for developers, local authorities and others;

- university tutorials, lecturing and conference presentations.
