Matrix Partnership Limited was established in May 2000. Following an initial period of setting-up and finding our feet, 2002-03 saw a major increase in activity and the general up scaling of projects, with work being undertaken throughout the UK.

As demand for our services gathered momentum, so the team expanded in both our London and Poole (Dorset) offices. Operating out of  two locations was not only a practical response to where the founding directors hailed from but also enabled us to extend our geographic reach.

As the practice’s reputation has grown, we have been fortunate in being given the opportunity to work on some of the country’s largest and most interesting urban design challenges. The quality of our work has also been recognised overseas, enabling us to spread our wings with projects elsewhere in Europe, the Middle East, China and Africa.

In 2006 the practice’s role in helping shape Devonport’s transformation, one of the UK’s leading examples of successful regeneration, was recognised with the RTPI Sustainable Communities Award, followed by the Regeneration and Renewal Best Use of Planning in Regeneration Award in 2007. This has subsequently been followed by other award-winning work elsewhere in the country.  

As we look ahead, we continue to build on our UK reputation as exponents in high quality planning and design solutions and actively seek exciting international opportunities to export our services to new markets.
