Matrix Partnership remains at the forefront of contemporary urban design practice, energising and influencing design thinking through our innovative approach and commitment to quality. The practice blends a team of talented individuals who share a deep enthusiasm for urban design and are dedicated to demonstrating its value by undertaking work to an exemplary standard.
As plans take shape on the ground, our portfolio is testimony to our dedication and drive to make visions become reality.
In several instances our work has spanned a number of years – enabling strategies to be followed through to detailed design and implementation. In Wellingborough, for example, major urban expansion planning has catalysed the need for town centre remodelling, whilst in Woodberry Down in Hackney, one of the country’s biggest comprehensive estate redevelopment projects, work has gathered momentum from an initial urban design framework, through detailed Masterplan coding in support of an outline planning application, on to developer procurement, detailed design and construction.
The practice is the recipient of the 2006 RTPI Sustainable Communities Award and 2007 Regeneration and Renewal Best Use of Planning in Regeneration Award in recognition of our masterplanning work in Devonport, Plymouth.
